George Clooney's tequila company, Casamigos, was founded in 2013 by longtime friends George Clooney, Rande Gerber, and Mike Meldman.

The trio had been looking for a tequila that was smooth enough to drink straight and could be enjoyed by their house of friends.

After tasting hundreds of different tequilas, they decided to create their own.

Casamigos Tequila is made from the finest blue Weber agaves grown in the rich red clay soils of Mexico.

The agaves are harvested and then slow-cooked in stainless steel pot stills for an hour fermentation process.

The resulting spirit is then distilled using a proprietary yeast and traditional brick ovens, before being aged in oak barrels for up to two years.
